Everett, Wash., Oct. 22, 2019 – Western Washington Medical Group (WWMG), a provider-owned team of physicians and providers that offers family practice and specialty services to the North Puget Sound region of Washington, has partnered with Elligo Health Research, a healthcare-enabling research organization, to add research as a care option for its more than 125,000 patients.

“Our team-oriented approach is focused on delivering personalized, patient-focused care,” said David Russian, MD, FCCP, president of WWMG. “We are fortunate to have made conducting state-of-the-art research in our office a reality through our partnership with Elligo and to now have new options for our patients who have tried all the commercially available treatments.”

As part of the partnership, Elligo will provide the tools necessary to conduct clinical research in an office setting beginning with a WWMG practice in Everett, Washington. The physicians and staff will receive specialized training, critical infrastructure, and access to novel technology that ease the burden of conducting research.

“It’s our goal to put patient needs front and center in clinical research,” said John Potthoff, Ph.D., CEO of Elligo Health Research. “Through this partnership, we will engage a growing group of physicians and patients who would otherwise not participate in clinical research, bringing us closer to our goal of ensuring all patients have access to clinical research as a care option.”

Elligo’s IntElligo Research Stack™ clinical technology and Goes Direct® approach power the identification of patients for studies using electronic health records. And, because patients are presented with research as a care option directly from their trusted physician, Elligo’s SOAR™ model increases enrollment and retention for study sponsors, and ultimately accelerates new treatments to market.
